Burglar Who Stared Straight Into Security Camera At Large In DC, Police Say (Video)

A suspect who had no qualms looking straight into a surveillance camera while robbing a home in Northeast DC remains at large more than a week after the burglary, police say.

The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public's assistance in identifying a person of interest in reference to a Burglary II incident.

The Metropolitan Police Department released video on Tuesday of a man wanted in connection to an incident last week in the 5900 block of 1st Street NE.

According to investigators, the burglary was reported shortly before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, when the man broke into the residence, took property, and fled the scene.

In the video, he can be seen surveilling the area and checking doors before staring straight into the camera during the burglary and leaving the area. 

The incident remains under investigation.
